EXCERPT: by former US Energy Secretary “Bill” Richardson. . .
“Calling BNFL's proposal "outrageously expensive and inadequate
in many ways," Richardson terminated the contract. Top Hanford
managers for both Energy and BNFL were replaced, and the
overruns at Hanford and Oak Ridge sparked a congressional
inquiry.” — Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists; November/December

QUESTION: Who or what prompted the President’s Advisory Board members to approve the expenditure of US taxpayer funding to contact and discuss the EEOICP sick worker demise with the fired and soon to be disbanded BNFL?
EXCERPT: “The UK Government is set to sound a death knell for
British Nuclear Fuels by taking direct control of its holding in the
uranium producer Urenco, which is due to debut on the London
market in a £6bn flotation. . . The flotation of Urenco will mean
BNFL no longer has a reason to exist. The government has
confirmed it is selling Westinghouse, the profitable US nuclear
business currently managed by BNFL. It is also widely expected
to sell British Nuclear Group, its other major subsidiary, which is
cleaning up Britain's nuclear sites including the Sellafield waste
reprocessing plant in Cumbria.” See EXHIBIT 34 ITEM 1 AND 2.
ITEM 2: UPI(London) 2/3/2006: Utah firm buys BNFL nuclear assets

About USDOL’s challengeable EEOICP Program Statistics.
As of March 10, 2005, only 233 Hanford EEOICP claimants out of 2,996 had been compensated. About 1,071 claims had been denied. USDOL Employee Standards Administration deputy manager Roberta Mosier reports that the 233 compensated are survivors and chronic beryllium diseased claimants. See PNNL’s Hanford statistics dated June 23, 2005, issued by the USDOL employees on June 28, 2005, during their mandated public hearing at the Richland, Washington Red Lion. Then the USDOL statistic reflected that 262 worker claimants had been compensated to June 23, 2005.
